How to Use Plurals in Maths and Science
Many of these words, they do keep their Latin or Greek plurals when we're talking about maths and science. Some of them also have anglicized plural forms that have come into common use. I'll read out the singular and then let's see if you can get the plural before Craig tells you the right answer. Can you think of any reason? Well let's start with nouns ending in US. The US is the singular form and to make it plural, it changes to an I. Why did the fungi leave the party? I don't know. There was a mushroom. That's a room, mushroom, nothing like an explained joke.
