The Core Reason People Are Giving for Buying GameStop
At the core, there is usually a story that makes sense. Even the stupidest pushups are driven by a core story that has some truth to it. It's something that has happened before, but what it shows you is with social media, how much what might have been a 20% bubble can become a 100% bubble in the social media age. And so it was actually interesting watching it play out on Reddit. The core reason people were giving for buying GameStop had nothing to do with GameStop. It's because they wanted to get back at the hedge funds.
