Radioactivity and the Exposure to It in the Food Chain
The 2000 detonations of nuclear weapons, all but two as tests on our planet, basically constitute a nuclear war without the war. The fallout from those tests is cloaking the entire northern hemisphere and parts of the southern hemisphere with persistent radioactivity that were basically only one to two half lives. But every time there is a fire of this vegetation that has absorbed the radioactivity, it gets remobilized into the smoke. And these results in a different type of exposure that we know even less about.
