The report calls on banks to introduce a delay of a few hours on certain high-risk payments. The City of London Police, which is the UK's lead police force on fraud, told us that it should be a national priority within strategic policing requirement. It added that it supports the need for legislative changes for the industry to be held to accounts to help protect victims.
