What's the Key Thing About Knowledge Transfers?
Open collaboration and sharing of ideas seems to be a really key theme here. It's hard to see how this would have worked if the US just kept everything to itself or if China tried to do it all on its own. There's something about the nature of the technology, I think. Again, contrast it to nuclear. The equipment can move around the world that products can moving around the world. And solar didn't have any of that. People are all over the place.
