Cancel Culture?

I think that for cancel culture to have a sort of useful definition, it should apply to people who are not in the business of being held accountable for their political opinion. I would concede that there are cases where private citizens have their lives kind of turned upside down because of something dumb or maybe evenSomething dumb that they did on the internet. But then you sort of get into the line where like this is just trying to like shame and embarrass someone, you know, for its own sake,. And like actively like a hostile motivated attempt to just ruin someone's life and career, right? A lot of it is often in bad faith.
