The Future of Code

There's a disconnect between the intentions we put in the code and what the code really does. I almost never intend to write an infinite loop that's going to lock up my computer, but I often do it, right? It's because the meaning of that code in some sense is complicated. And when we have a legal system, we can attend to that meaning and decide how to execute afterwards. There's no such thing as that when we're talking about code constituting the very actions we're able to do with some interesting exceptions.
