The Objection to the Reverse Lottery

In some ways, a someone who signs up in the military is entering reverse lottery. There are all these huge benefits, but there is a significant risk of physical, psychological injury or moral injury. It's hard to see why we should be grateful when you took this deal. So like your point, I think the short version is no, we should not be grateful. We should not be great to the case of reverse lotteries.
