The Weightiness of Poetry
The author says poetry is a way of narrowing down and pointing with arrows. Poetry pushes us back to stories like Robert California's, where you're not just given facts but the story itself. Part of that turning up the knob of the volume of the biblical authors is also turning up our own sense of values for what they value and how they communicate.
