The 996 Protest in China
China started a project named 996.icu on GitHub and Chinese developer forum as well. What they were trying to say was that if you continue to follow the 996 schedule, someday you will end up in ICU. The project went viral pretty quickly. It became a top 20 topic at a time on social media. Some tech firms did make some efforts to kill the discussion.
