i think it's political in the sense that it has certan political tropes, et cetera. It is an expression of an entitlement to dispose of other human beings as objects and to wield violence as a way to express agency in power and satisfy grievances. And i think here about the elpasso shooting, and how in 20 19, just a couple of months before it, none other than david frum had an atlantic cover article that ran the question with, how much immigration is too much? I have no idea what else could be. That's why you should deeply understand the world and organize to change it.
