We don't really have any good fundamental explanation for the rebound other than just the notion that whatever caused the crash was temporary and non-permanent. A sudden shock is more likely to be related to these pretty frequent variations in the interest rates or even just the discount rate that you would apply to future cash flows. Earnings and dividends seem to be a little bit slower to evolve.
