The Language of Nature Is That of Mathematics
i think people have exaggerated, normously, the role of fashion in science. But it's worth while pointing out there are some sciences where fashion is more important than others. I was goin ntothing ofat whatat joanna was saying about language. It was galileo who already set the tone for science in the sixteenth century to say that the language of nature is that of mathematics. And finally, coming back to owen barfield, i think his point was there is no phenomenal world prior to human consciousness. Really, its not a phenomenal universe. Can't come.
