The FDA's Decision to Update COVID Vaccines to Cover Just One Currently Circulating Strain of the Virus

Last week, FDA voted unanimously that COVID vaccines should be updated to cover just one currently circulating strain of the virus. This was based on evidence suggesting that could provide better protection than continuing to include the old strain. The concern has been that by boosting the Wuhan strain you're effectively driving up protection against something that we're not going to see anymore.
