Introduction

English isn't plain by the rules again, mate, i make the rules get you. We use so after certain verbs when we want to replace the object clause in the sentence. In layman's terms, this is the thing that the verb is acting on. For example, do you hope that dad comes to the party? I hope so. Do you expect it'll rain to morrow? Yes, i expect so.
