The Foundation of Intervention for Autism
There's some research suggesting that when kids have mild-type functioning autism, there even are some of them who outgrow that label at some point. But the only predictable factor is whether or not they're going to outgrow it is continuing behavioral therapyeven when they have mild symptoms. So this is part of the long-term intervention for autism that really we want to persist with for most children almost indefinitely. And then I'm jumping ahead a slide, but since I talked about the pyramid, the second piece of that pyramid which we'll get to soon is the speech language piece.
