The Fire in the Aircraft Cockpit
The fire would have spread above the cockpit door, using m p e t insulation materials as fuel for the fire. Eventually then breached the silicone elastromeric and cap in a short branch stub on an air conditioning duck located immediately aft and overhead the cockpit door. The c vr and f d r stopped recording five minutes and 30 seconds before the plane impacted the water. Getting molten aluminum dripped on you not be a good way to no, i imagine it would be incredibly painful.
