The Inequality of Power Hypothesis

Male phillopatry is the idea that in some species, when mating occurs, the females will go to another group and the males stay home. This was originally thought to be something that was unique to chimpanzees and bonobos and humans. But they found a lot of other species that do this kind of thing. And so if you've got more males who are related, even if they disperse, they'll likely be more of them that'll encounter males of another group with less genetically related.
