Paracetamol Overdose - The Biggest Cause of Adverse Liver Failure
The biggest cause of acute liver failure in at least younger persons, probably in the western world is paracetamol overdose. It's a well-tellerated drug and in its therapeutic phases or its therapeutic uses it's very safe. But going over can be damaging to your liver and potentially irreversibly damaging. The antidote is anacetylcysteine NAC which blocks this particular metabolite building up that causes hepatotoxic effect.
