Channel Four - What's Baked In?
Channel four has always had a brief to do things differently and to do distinctive programming. It really, in some ways, was the thatcher dream of a e some one could start their own business with a few people and within a few years, sell it out for millions. Some of its critics would say it's been watered down to the point where it's not as distinctive as it was in the eighties and nineties. But in its legal under pinning, it has a requirement to make things that are different, to serve under served audiences and to represent britain.
