The Swiss Watch Industry in the First Half of the 20th Century
At the end of the Second World War, Switzerland was in a great position to exert its dominance over the world market. By the 60s and 70s, the Swiss production model had changed from the 1800s. But for the most part, it was still generally concentrated in small and medium enterprises on the order of, say, 55 workers per establishment.
