The prison i work, they're in their cells 23 hours a day. And the knot of them don't have ac to books. There's not enough guards to take them to the library. So i work with them, often with learning a poem. And then they've got it. No one can take it away from them. You know, four walls do not a prison make. It's there inside them. That's the thing. You can't memorize a novel word for word, but you can learn a poem by heart.
