Marian mitchell is the son of john wayne's dad, clyde morrison. His mother took his middle name and gave it to her younger brother robert. The family moved from Iowa to Nebraska when marian was three years old. Marian grew up as a pushover who preferred hanging out with his dad over his little brother.
