The Marlins came closer than any other team has come to not having a qualifier for the batting title. There were 37.5 plate appearances in the average game in 2022 and 2021, down by a plate appearance or two from higher offense eras. It just seems to me another sign of the times to keep an eye on with one low offense here being all it takes to get under threshold.
