Data Storytelling - What Does It Really Mean?
When you have data that actually drives a story or can back up the facts of that story, I think it really helps your audience relate to it more versus just seeing the data. As humans, we tend to not interpret data the same that we would when it's combined with the story. When you focus in on one specific individual and give them a name and a face,. Oh, my goodness, give them a face and you're done. People who get it, I think, are just such better story tellers in general when they know that they can have this emotional connection.
