New Rules for Creating General Assembly Districts

In november of 20 15, after a year of some grassworts organizations getting it on the ballot, ohio voters overwhelming approved an amendment to the ohio constitution that replaced former article 11 with a new version. That amendment provided for the creation of a seven member re districting commission composed of the governor, the auditor of state, the secretary of state and one person appointed by the house of represent ives.
