The Origins of Heidelberg Man

Heidelberg man could have originated in the Persian Gulf Oasis where perhaps the Garden of Eden was supposed to be. We know that he's associated with tool use. One of my favorite archaeological signatures of his cognitive ability are the so-called Schönigen spears. These were carefully sculpted spears on a par with modern Olympic javelins. And these are associated with Homo Heidelbergensis.
