The different models for doing this vary a lot in who is cannulating, meaning by specialty. If you're doing percutaneous, you got to have skill with ultrasound guided procedural use. And most of my colleagues in CT surgery do not. There's a very small handful that do, but you'll see the divergence. The counselor has adopted ultrasound whole cloth.
