How to Ask for a Raise in an Annual Review

Most people do wait until the end of the year at their annual review to ask for that raise. I compiled some research from the companies I've been at and about 80% of those people who ask out of cycle their increases were more than 5%. Now this was a few years ago before 5% was the norm. And most of the increases that were given out of cycle 80% of them were at least 10%.
