Chrissy Clark: Republicans want to get something out of the debt limit negotiations. She says they're pushing for work requirements in exchange for lifting the level limit on government spending. But she says it would be an entirely new policy that hasn't really existed before. Clark: It's possible there can be a few other, but not anything of any consequence.

With the debt ceiling deadline approaching, Republicans want to expand rules that require welfare recipients to work. Vox’s Dylan Scott and Marketplace’s Krissy Clark explain.
