Churchill's Early Warning System With Hitler

Christopher Hitchens praises Churchill for separating himself in the 1930s from much of the Conservative Party, and even some on the left. In other words, Hitchens says that Churchill understood that Hitler was what we now perceive Hitler to be. How did he see the Nazis for what they were at a time when a lot of people either couldn't or because of the First World War didn't want to? The answer is three things. He was a phyllo Seamite. He'd grown up with Jews. His father had liked Jews. And therefore, he had an early warning system, essentially, with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.
