How Do You Test Your Strategy?

The most important thing to look at when you're developing a strategy is that it's sustainable over the long term, right? And also preferably does it like our minimum threshold really is like does it perform better than the S&P 500? Then there's other things you can look at such as what is the drawdown? What is the number of stagnation days and so on and so on, right? So it's things like these that we're looking for. One of the benefits of back testing with automated systems is that the tools you're using, you can test compared to if you do it manually sitting and manually back testing yourself.
