Writers are striking against companies who pit them against one another, and create that economic insecurity. 40% of all independent films never see theatrical release. Family farms have to compete with Monsanto, ADM, Cargill, and Cingenta. Perhaps that's why the suicide rate among U.S. farmers is three and a half times that of the general population. We just don't want to get plowed under.
