Wellington's Opposition to Universal Suffrage
The borough's system is fundamentally flawed. You have people effectively able to buy their way to an election victory. Everything is based upon affluence and so this is a system that quite clearly is appropriate and flawed and needs reform. Wellington opposes it. He's this arch Tory. Think about what we were saying earlier about the scum of the earth comet. He has no faith in the mob. Partly that might be a hangover from the French Revolution seeing what happened in 1789 1792, fearing what could happen if you let the working classes heaven forbid have a say. So around applause for Wellington but I fear that there's going to be another but from Yuzak.
