There is a perception out there that Wellington was a defensive general, not true. If you start to tally up his offensive victories versus his defensive ones, the offensive ones actually outweigh the defensive. Every major pitch battle that he fought, he won. There are these kind of little blemishes and folks who kind of feel that praising Wellington somehow undermines Napoleon like to turn around and say, "What about?"
