I believe people inherently want to do good. It's just that what good is can become misdefined and co-opted. What if we mapped all the religious texts in the world so that a child in Egypt could see Judaism for the perspective of a child in Jerusalem? We finally have the technology to do that. But we didn't before, so people remain in their huddles. They look at the other and they're encouraged to do so. So society is a tipping quality.
