The only reason you writio tredty writing, writing this book in 20 20 was tough. I had to read every single alcohol drinking culture, feasting, partying and culinary history book that i could find. It was really important for me to not just put a bunch of cocktail history in the book, but to put it into contexts like mediaeval western europe,. women completely controlled the alcohol trade, absolutely completely. But it was the only trade they controlled. And i wend, i wanted to know why, and i really wanted to put that into context with my story.
