The Chitlin Circuit was a network of venues across America that generally catered to working class black audiences. Many of the best black artists relied on the circuit for work at a time when most white venues were still turning them away. Blues musician Bobby Rush, who's known as the king of the ChitlinCircuit, has embraced it with pride.
