The Pressure to Invest in Berkshire
The Berkshire Hathaway CEO recently increased his stake to even above $100 million of stock that you have purchased with your own money. Dougie, how many managers in the United States have put $100 million into a company without getting any special deal on it or having an incentive to come? I could hardly think of a case where anybody's put anything like $ 100 million of their own money in and getting the exact same deal as the shareholder gets. If they make money, they make money. If they lose money, they lose money. And that's just the way we play at it at Berkshire. It don't find it when they play sales.
