C and C++ Package Managers - The Biggest Problem in a New Language
There's a really big advantage when you're building a new language and you don't have like we so I'm very thankful that for like the folks in Mozilla who decided to like invest in getting cargo written early. The problem is you have literally 50 years of programs that have their own custom bespoke build systems. To add those programs to your package system, you either need to do it yourself or ask the upstream to support your package manager. And then that means getting all of those people to like be willing to modify and support you upstream.
