The Apologist's Theology of the Logos
The term Logos for Jesus Christ was present in the New Testament. Justin Martyr and others began utilizing Hellenic thought to reflect upon Christian doctrine. The result was something of a Judeo-Hellenic synthesis, which although a step forward still had some shortcomings. Criticism that the Apologists failed to realize the eternal distinction between God and His Word "goes a bit far"
