Indian Democracy and Liberalism
i was studying political philosophy and ah alongside economics, and i had a sense that there could be a moment when the right wing and the left wing india would be thrown into this kind of antagonistic dialectic. And my interest in social science became more political science than economics. The course i loved the most was economic development theory. I thought, perhaps naively, that democracy and liberalism were made for, you know, for long time economic growth.
