Twitter is struggling to find a way to shift its revenue away from advertisers and towards subscriptions. The company has laid off hundreds of people in violation of federal labor law, but it's not clear what will happen with the severance payments they're giving out. Twitter could have to at the worst possible outcome reinstate people back pay or face legal action by former employees.
