The Effects of Mendelian Randomization on Cholesterol Levels

Mendelian randomization studies are basically people who have a certain predisposition based on a bunch of variants to have, let's say, higher cholesterol levels. And they found that when you have a higher predisposition to these things, you're more likely to have cardiovascular disease. Now, before 2015, there were still arguments to be made about whether this was causal or not. But I think the Mendelian randomisation studies basically kind of brought me over the edge to be quite confident that this is causal.
