His mother was a flibberty gibbet, his grandmother the daughter of a diamond dealer. He felt neglected and so she kind of took him over. She taught him that to be bad is good, because to be good is simply boring. This stuff stayed with him as it made him quite a disaffected youth. And i think that's one of the things that's attractive about him - there are those who bear the wounds of association.
