The Importance of a Word in the Constitution

Bob Greene: I think it's very important to emphasize how a word here and there can change the entire lexicon of a country or a culture, even the way people think about a certain school of thought. So if Morris did have this kind of effect on the Constitution, certain places, these are crucial points. He also talked about his somewhat licentious lifestyle; maybe he doesn't have the gravitas that we expect from our venerable founders? Greene: Maybe one reason why he was sometimes sort of disdain by people under his lifetime during his lifetime is because they saw him as an elitist who didn't like unfettered democracy.
