Alice Cobour collected a few words that seemed to reappear with different endings. She thought the language was likely an Indo-European language. Ventress studied her work more than anyone else's and made the final leap. He conjectured that these might be place names of the different sites. That would explain why they appear frequently on tablets from one place and not from others.
