The Lesson of a Great Books Education
Soi lent to a hebrew school at his local synagoguea through the age of 13, and then started this programme at the theological seminary after that. He was inspired by two main intellectual inspirations in his life: mordecai caplin and abraham joshua heschel. And i think having parents who disagreed onon the big questions in life is an important part of growing up - there are no unquestioned authorities because they question one another. Soi joined the local progressive jewish community just because it's such a small community, and they need every person they can get.
