The Distribution of Talent

1% or 2% of individuals who appear to learn in such unusually capable ways that they may be exceptions to the theory. At this stage of the research, it applies most clearly to the middle 95% of a school population. Then there's one or two percent of people who would really have difficulty learning whatever this is because they're particularly impaired. And then there are one or two or three percent of peoplewho are really, really exceptional to the point that they are different from other people. They're kind of in a category of their own of being talented.
