The Importance of Doing the Work
Doing the work is to say I'm not going, it's kind of absolved you of making an effort to convince somebody. And also automatically, I suppose, elevates you in some kind of moral hierarchy. So your understanding is superior to the person whom you're saying has to do work in order to reach the level that you're at. It's a completely apolitical way of thinking about any of these things. You know, if there's a racist around, the answer is that they do the work or you tell them to do the work,. rather than anything else.
